Our beers

Speciality beer under our own name

Every De 3 Horne beer is brewed by hand, with the utmost care for its ingredients. Herbs and fruit add an undertone of aroma and flavour without overpowering the beer.

Trippelaer label

Trippelaer

Tripel · 8.5% ABV · 8–10 °C

Noble hops give a fine bitterness. Part of the bouquet comes from pilsner, Munich and caramel malt, orange and coriander. The brewing process is adapted especially for this beer, for a slightly sweet finish.

Horn's Wit label

Horn's Wit

Witbier · 7% ABV · 6–8 °C

Noble hops give a fine bitterness. Part of the bouquet comes from pilsner malt, wheat flakes, orange and coriander, and a witbier yeast of its own does the rest. An adapted brewing process gives a slightly drier finish.

Dobbelaer label

Dobbelaer

Dubbel · 6% ABV · 6–8 °C

Bittering hops give a somewhat firmer bitterness. Six malts (pilsner, amber, chocolate, caramel, Munich and crystal) make up the bouquet, and a yeast of its own brings out the character of a dubbel. An adapted brewing process gives a slightly drier finish.

Blondy label

Blondy

Bottom-fermented speciality beer · 6.5% ABV · 6–8 °C

Full of flavour and aromatically hopped. Noble hops and dry hopping, hops added only after the boil, give extra bitterness and a good balance of flavour. Brewed with very pale malt, and neither filtered nor pasteurised.

Mangootje label

Mangootje

Fruit beer · 6% ABV · 6–8 °C

A beer brewed with mango. Hops with a fruity character give a mild bitterness, and pilsner malt and mango extract make up the bouquet. A special yeast and an adapted brewing process give a slightly sweeter finish.

Serving

Pour gently

Apart from Blondy, all the beers are top-fermented and bottle-conditioned. Every bottle has a thin layer of yeast on the bottom, and it can go into the glass with the beer. Prefer it clear? Pour slowly into a large enough, dry glass and stop when the sediment starts to come.

Each beer lists its serving temperature: 6 to 8 °C, and 8 to 10 °C for the Trippelaer.

Where to buy

The beer is sold through a few off-licences. The brewery itself does not sell beer to the public.
